INTENDED USE

The geneMAP™ FMF 11 Mutation Detection Kit offers a very simple procedure to identify the major mutations associated with FMF disease. You can identify the 11 most common genetic risk factors linked to FMF simultaneously, together as a multiplex. Familial Mediterranean fever is a hereditary febrile disease that is frequently seen in Jewish, Turkish, Middle Eastern Arab, Armenian and Japanese populations. Familial Mediterranean Fever is a disease that causes recurrent bouts of fever, abdominal pain, chest pain and joint pain. Seizures usually last 24-48 hours. Patients have no symptoms other than seizures.
